What is Web Accessibility?
Web accessibility is about making the web accessible to everyone, not only does this mean
allowing the web to be used by people with disabilities, but also allowing web pages to be
understood by people using browsers other than the usual ones. At WebCatch we strive to make
our websites as accessible as possible. The following are measures we have implemented to work
towards our goal of producing websites that are accessible by everyone, on as many platforms
as possible.
ALT attribute for images
This website has ALT attributes in place for all images used. An ALT attribute is a specific
piece of code attached to an image to provide an ALTernative for people who can't see them. When
an Internet browser can not display images, or when third-party software is used to read web
pages it is essential from an accessibility point of view to have the attributes in place.
Font Sizes
This website uses font sizes that you can control using your web browser settings. To
increase or decrease the text size use the following
Internet Explorer : Select 'View', then 'Text Size' and select your desired text size
Firefox : Select 'View', then 'Text Size' and select your desired text size
Safari : Select 'View', then 'Make Text Bigger' or 'Make Text Smaller'
